Somebody’s Problem

The goal is-

to someday be “somebody’s problem” and for them to actually stick around for once.

Until then-

I will continue tackling life with the grit I’ve got and all the grace I’m given.

You deserve someone who is obsessed with you. Not in a creepy/stalker fatal attraction-ish way, but in an “I can’t get enough of you” and miss you as soon as you’re gone way. You deserve someone who is obsessed with your messy hat hair, that 15 lbs you want to lose, and the tshirt you’re still in from yesterday.

You deserve someone who is obsessed with getting to know you-yes, on the surface (how you like your steak or how many hours of sleep you need each night), but also getting to know the deep down nitty gritty (what makes you tick, how you think and see the world, and the experiences that shaped you into who you are today). You deserve someone who is obsessed with getting to know how to communicate effectively with you and how to love you better.

You deserve someone who is obsessed with your child(ren) and love them like their own. You deserve someone obsessed with morning wake-up snuggles and playing pretend. You deserve someone obsessed with nurturing them, teaching them, and helping them develop into super awesome not-so-tiny humans.

You deserve someone who is obsessed with making you happy, whether it be driving two hours to see you for one, always being sure to have your favorite food around, or making the bed even though they don’t care about it, just because they know you like it. You deserve someone who is obsessed with your smile and your laugh and will do anything to elicit them.

You deserve someone who is obsessed with being your teammate. You deserve someone who is obsessed with learning and growing together, sharing burdens, striving for the best versions of yourselves, and reaching goals. You deserve someone who is obsessed with cheering for you, building you up, and supporting you.

You deserve someone who is obsessed with your mental health. You deserve someone who wants to work through your ugly instead of run away from it, and HELP. HEAL.YOUR. WOUNDS instead of deepening them. You deserve someone who is obsessed with understanding you and with bringing you peace instead of turmoil.

You deserve someone who is obsessed with loving you. You deserve someone who is obsessed with protecting your heart and standing together no matter what you face.

You deserve to be

Somebody's problem,

Somebody's goodbye,

Somebody's last call number that they can't find.

Somebody's best day,

somebody's worst night,

Somebody's reason for leavin' on the porch light.
