Reflecting On Another Birthday Approaching

I have always been someone who enjoys birthdays. As I sit here enjoying basking in the sun, I’m left to think about how I will be turning 32 in a few days. Last year was horrible around my birthday; therefore I decided it was worth an investment to take some well deserved time over my birthday weekend.

Time to really enjoy and celebrate the ending of one year and embrace the start of another.

To be honest, this last trip around the sun was difficult. But I’ve managed to pull through. I’ve been able to grow, love, learn, observe, and heal.

I am also very much looking forward to spending this time with someone who entered my life so unexpectedly. Someone who has brought back the air in my lungs I had been running out of for so long and the smile on my face, that I, at one point and time, felt I would never find again.

Here is to one of my favorite weekends of the year; here’s to celebrating me 🦋
